Although its been done
elsewhere on these pages, I'd like to welcome you to Maestronet
and thank you for coming by. As the only non-musician on staff I
feel privileged to be among such talented individuals. My skills,
and certainly my training are more in administration and finance,
than music making, however someone has to look after the books.
After graduating from
York University in Toronto with a Bachelor of Business Administration
in 1980 I worked with the accounting firm of Price Waterhouse for
over four years. During that tenure, I obtained my Chartered Account
designation as well as insight on the workings of corporations from
the inside. This education has certainly proven useful in the intervening
years as Senior V-P Finance of a private corporation.
 My
interest in computers and more recently the online community, and
having witnessed my brother's searches for instruments over a number
of years, lead to the idea of a centralized registry of instruments
that could be easily searched from anywhere in the world. That feature
together with our sheet music division, is the heart of Maestronet
which you see today, I trust you find it useful.
 On
the lighter side, when I'm not tinkering with computers or preparing
financial statements, you're likely to find me under the hood of
one of my cars or enjoying some water
sports.
