Sandra
Wagstaff moved her violin restoring and dealing business to Hong
Kong, lock stock and barrel, from Brussels in Belgium in 1988. This
is our tenth year in Hong Kong and we are celebrating "Ten
Harmonious Years in Asia". You will see that theme used in
our advertisements which run in The Strad, Strings and Stringendo
and in concert programmes in Hong Kong.
Although our showroom and workshop are based in Hong Kong, our market is the vast continent of Asia as well as Australia and New Zealand. Many of the world's leading string players are Chinese. Consequently, China is a very important market for us. We are helping several orchestras and conservatories in Chinese cities to find suitable instruments for their soloists and promising young musicians.
We also stock a range of instruments made especially for us in China and hand-finished in our workshop as well as a very wide choice of strings, cases and accessories. Many a three- or four-year-old has made a start on a musical career with a tiny one-sixteenth size violin bought from us. Our showroom and workshop are open, Monday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you are in Hong Kong, please call us for an appointment or just wander in to our showroom to see our fine collection of instruments. Our polyglot staff will make you feel welcome in English, French, German, Mandarin and Cantonese. We offer:
