Charles Avsharian 10 years ago we created a better way to purchase a fine instrument or bow....

Shar Fine Instruments was created ten years ago in response to our customers' needs. Both musicians and collectors shared with me their experiences searching for a fine instrument or bow. We felt that Shar could provide a more secure and trusting dealer and client relationship both before and after the purchase. From the outset we offered a 60 day no risk return guarantee, a 100% trade in allowance, and in-home trials of instruments and bows prior to purchase.*

This new venture was created as an extension of Shar dedicated exclusively to providing players with a safe and comfortable means of finding an instrument or bow of their choice. We have been fortunate to bring together a highly talented team of individuals under the skillful management of Jeffrey Holmes, a long time member of the Shar family. Shar Fine Instruments has grown to the point where it successfully performs all of the highly specialized services expected from a world class violin shop.

Providing an instrument set up to maximize potential sound is often more important to the player than it's authenticity or condition. Shar guarantees all three pre-conditions to purchase with special emphasis on performance standards. We understand what today's player needs.

Shar customers are intelligent and demanding consumers, whether a player in the early stages of development or an accomplished professional. Therefore, we offer everything from well crafted Karl Joseph Schneider™ instruments to rare instruments by great masters such as Matteo Goffriller, Nicolo Gagliano, Joseph Rocca, Giuseppe Antonio Rocca, and fine performance bows by Dominique Peccatte, Etienne Pajeot, Eugene Sartory, and François Nicolas Voirin.

We urge you to follow the lead set by hundreds of string musicians worldwide and contact Shar Fine Instruments the next time that you or a student could benefit from the purchase of a new instrument or bow. Our representatives will guide you towards an intelligent decision with knowledge, candor and expertise.

These are the principles we have become known for in the last 10 years, and we look forward to providing you with many more decades of the secure and honest service you have come to expect from the Shar companies.

Charles Avsharian, President
