| A Fine Violin by Nicolo Gagliano Naples 1782, and so-labelled, L.O.B. 14in.
(355mm.), of a golden orange brown colour, in good condition £60000-70000. With the
Certificate stating original label and receipted Invoice of Messrs. W. E. Hill & Sons,
London dated 22nd and 4th June 1931 to the above effect.

and handsome French Violin by Jean Baptiste Vuillaume Paris, 1867, bearing the makers
original label, at 3 rue Demours Ternes, and numbered internally 2731, L.O.B. 141/16in.
(357mm.), in case The attractive one-piece back of bold horizontal small curl, ribs and
scroll of similar figure, table of narrow open grain, the varnish of a red brown colour on
a golden brown ground, in immediate playing condition, model after Joseph Guarneri

| A good Italian Violin by Josef Rocca Turin 1843 and so labelled, L.O.B. 14in.
(355mm.), upper bouts 165mm., lower bouts 205mm., in lined and fitted case by W.E. Hill
& Sons. The handsome two-piece back of medium curl descending from the joint, ribs and
scroll of similar figure, table of medium grain, varnish of a light golden brown colour,
in good and immediate playing condition £60000-70000 . With the Receipted Invoice
of John & Arthur Beare, Wardour St., London, November 11th 1925, stating: "A
genuine old Italian Violin by Josef Rocca of Turin, Stradivari model guaranteed genuine -
230 Pounds".

handsome Italian Violin by Nicolo Gagliano, Naples, 1731, and so labelled, L.O.B.
1315/16in. (354mm.), upper bouts 168mm., lower bouts 208mm., in case The attractive
two-piece back of bold broad figure ascending slightly from the joint, the ribs of similar
figure, scroll of modest medium curl, table of even close grain, varnish of light golden
brown colour, in good and immediate playing condition The instrument is decorated with two
rows of purfling back and front displaying an aged red ball and lozenge pattern along with
the fleur-de-lys £80000-90000
