Description: A fine Italian Violin, labelled by the maker; Ferdinandus Gagliano Filius Nicolai fecit Neap 17. The handsome two -piece back of broad flame descending from the joint, ribs of smaller figure, the scroll plain, table of open medium grain, the varnish of a transparent golden brown colour, minor restorable blemishes, otherwise in good and immediate playing condition, in oak lined and fitted case by W. E. Hill and Sons London.
