Description: A fine and handsome English Violin branded B. Banks Saum on top block, impressed below button; Longman & Broderip No. 26 Cheapside No. 13 Haymarket, London, in fitted double case. The attractive two piece back of matced narrow flame descending from the joint, ribs of similar figure, scroll of fainter curl, table of even close grain, varnish of a red colour on a brown ground, some minor old restored worm neck and ribs, Amatise model, in immediate playing condition.
