Description: A fine and handsome French Violin bearing the makers dated laebl: Grand Freres Luthiers de la Musique de L'Emperor et du Conservatoire Imperial de Musique. The attractive one-piece back of narrow to medium curl, ascending slightly to the right, ribs and scroll of similar figure, table of narrow to medium open grain, varnish of a light red colour on a golden brown ground, skilful table restoratins, now in good and immediate playing condition.
