Description: A good French Violin labelled Jean Baptiste Vuillaume a Paris Rue Croix des Petits Champs, with the St. Cecile des Ternes monogram below the button. The handsome one-piece back of bold medium horizontal curl, ribs and scroll of similar figure, table of open medium grain narrowing on the flanks, the transparent light red colour on a golden brown ground, a good example after Stradivari of the Brothers work with minor restored table blemishes, in good and immediate playing condition.
