I have no doubt that Alf is one of the greatest teacher of our time. One of his student once told me that he knew Alf's system of building violin inside and out. He passes all the essential knowledge to the students without keeping any "secret" for himself.

At least two of his students have become gold medalists at VSA-- two at the 2004 competition, alone.
