A little background information,
I have made a little over 40 violins and probably around 70 musical instruments total but I lost count years ago.
I don't play violin but I play guitar, a lot.
Right now I don't produce many violins, I have a day job to keep me busy so violin building has to come behind work and guitar playing. I also tinker with my violins a lot to try to understand what influences the different resonances of their bodies. I'm not trying to do anything too rigorious, just trying to gain a little understanding and have fun, tinkering is fun. Sometimes I post the results of my tinkering on Maestronet but I don't expect anyone to mistake tinkering for carefully controlled acoustics experiments.
