It wouldbe interesting to watch and listen to the maestro Paganini plaing it!! I read a description of his playing somewher. He usually finished up with one or two strings! Perhaps the plates are too thick?

The occasion was special as it was the 50th anniverary of his first prize win in the Paganini Competition at the age if 17 in 1958. In the video he is 67 years of age.wish the playing was better?

About 45 minutes but it's not the first time he played it.I wonder how much time he had to get accustomed to the instrument. I bet it's a bear to play.

I know that the Del Gesu violins I've had an opportunity to play I found them all very difficult except the Kreisler DG.
I've also noticed that even when accomplished violinists play on a DG, the instrument often does not sound very good under the ear but fantastic to everyone else.
