I just came across a fairly nice looking violin with the names Alberto Bertini on the inside label, with the year 1908 in writing. I couldn't find anything among the violin auctions, nor could I find anything among previous messages on this board. I suspect that the names are fictious given that they start with the first two letters of the alphabet. Perhaps they are associated with a company such as Sears Roebuck. Any information you might be able to provide would be appreciated. Many thanks. Alton Craig.
